Dental Lighting
The right lighting for your dental practice increases productivity, contributes to the health of you and your staff and creates a comfortable working environment.

The right luminance
The ratio of 10:1:0.5 can be used for optimal lighting for a dental practice. This is the ratio between the oral cavity illumination from a surgical lamp (20,000 lux for most dentist’s lamps, 55,000 lux for newer LED units), the vicinity of the mouth (2,000 lux) and the illuminance in the rest of the treatment room (800-1,000 lux).

Our bespoke solutions
Lighting has two key functions within a practice; Task lighting and Ambient lighting. Task lighting aside, the lighting levels for rest of the practice should be a consideration depending on the environment. Understanding the different solutions is crucial to achieving the best outcome from your lighting and the benefits this can bring t your staff and patients.
